Just a few days after Kendrick Lamar dropped his intense new DAMN. album, the artist headed to the desert to headline the final night of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival's weekend one. And of course, the California native brought the heat by performing a handful of tracks from the record.

He continued to prove why he's earned the "Kung Fu Kenny" title, as he ferociously spit bar after bar that many of your favorite rappers cannot compete with. His stage setup was also on a grand scale, with its artistic backdrops placing him on Beyoncé and Kanye West levels when it comes to festival stages. Lamar began his set with DAMN. opener "BLOOD," before heading into tunes like "DNA," "ELEMENT", "XXX" and "YAH." He also performed hit singles "King Kunta," "Alright," "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" and "Money Trees."

While U2 didn't make an appearance during "XXX" and Rihanna stayed in the crowd instead of performing their "Loyalty" collaboration, Lamar decided to bring out some of his other music friends: Travis Scott ("Goosebumps"), Future ("Mask Off") and Schoolboy Q ("That Part"). Check out highlights from the fiery set below:
