Kim Kardashian has become more candid than ever in recent years, and she continued to genuinely open up during her visit on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today (April 27). The TV personality and businesswoman spoke with the host about Caitlyn Jenner's The Secrets of My Lifethe Paris robbery and family life with Kanye West.

“My heart breaks for my mom, you know, because I feel like she’s been through so much and there’s, you know…[Caitlyn’s] promoting this book and she’s saying all these things and you know, I just don’t think it’s necessary, you know, and I just feel like it’s unfair, things aren’t truthful," Kim explained. She continued, saying "I don’t respect the character that she’s showing now":

"I mean, I feel like its taken her a really long time to be honest with herself, so I don’t expect her to be honest you know, about my mom now, but it’s just so hurtful. Like I just, I wish her all the success in the world, but not at our expense,” Kim continued. “And I think my mom’s been so respectful for so long and always wanting Caitlyn around and always wanting have a great relationship with Caitlyn, but I think you know, for the Kardashians, which she doesn’t like to say that word or she said that in her book. On Diane Sawyer she purposely never said our name.”

Kim also discussed the gravity of the Paris incident, choking up as she reveals she thinks it was meant to happen to her. "I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things. It was probably no secret, you see it on the show us being flashy...I was definitely materialistic before, not that there’s anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things," she said. "I’m really proud of everyone around me that’s successful. But I’m so happy that my kids get this me and that this is who I’m raising my kids [to be]. Because I just don’t care about that stuff anymore, I really don’t.”
