If you ever wanted to hear what Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" sounds like in metal form, today is your lucky day. Popular YouTube channel Ultimate Music Covers (or UMC) is known for doing metal covers of pop tunes, and their take on Sheeran's single is...interesting.

Singer Brian Storm, drummer Tobias Derer and guitarist Nils Lesser strip "Shape of You" of its wildly catchy dancehall-inspired melodies and spins it into a thrashing track that makes it even more headbang-worthy. Check out Sheeran's original for comparison below.

The singer is about to embark on his 48-date North American arena tour in support of new Divide album. He kicks things off on June 29 in Kansas City, MO. Sheeran's longtime dream of being cast in Game of Thrones also came true recently. It's not metal-related, but it's still badass.
