Panic! At the Disco's Brendon Urie will make his Broadway debut in Kinky Boots, The Hollywood Reporter announced. The rock frontman is set to take the lead as Charlie Price at New York City's Al Hirschfeld Theatre from May 26 through August 6.

“I’m thrilled to be making my Broadway debut with this fantastic company,” Urie said in a statement. “I’m a huge fan of Kinky Boots and musical theatre, and am honored to be joining the cast.” He was a little more cheeky in his video announcement, exclaiming: "That’s crazy to say because it’s been on my bucket list for the longest time, and it really is a dream come true. Plus you guys get to see me in those heels now, so that’s pretty cool. I really hope you guys make it out.”

Urie joins cast members Harrison Ghee as Lola and Taylor Louderman as Lauren. Kinky Boots follows the story of Charlie Price, who seeks inspiration in Lola after having to take over his family's struggling shoe factory. The artist actually teased the role yesterday, tweeting "Lost a beat to a guy in a Chiffon skirt..."

On the Panic! end, the guys will be wrapping up their North American tour on April 15 in Sunrise, Fla. They recently brought Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp on stage to sing along to "L.A. Devotee" off Panic!'s GRAMMY-nominated Death of a Bachelor album. Schnapp was the main star in the single's twisted video, where he was inducted into an underground Los Angeles cult.
