Star Wars fans have been eagerly awaiting the look at the upcoming Last Jedi film and now we have our first look.

The official teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi dropped on Friday (April 14), previewing the film to have a very dramatic, intense feel. It debuted during a Star Wars celebration that was also livestreamed. Watch above and look out for a quick back shot of the late Carrie Fisher as the iconic Princess Leia. Towards the end of the clip, a seemingly tired Luke relays this message: “It’s time for the Jedi to end.” A new poster for the movie was also revealed:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15. The cast also features recurring actors Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Lupita Nyong'o. It was announced in February that Jimmy Vee will replace the late and iconic Kenny Baker, who played R2-D2 in the three original Star Wars films as well as the prequels.

Yesterday, the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Fla. celebrated 40 years of the classic franchise. The event ended with a video tribute to Carrie Fisher that looked into her life as Leia including footage from her first film to this year's new film. Feeling nostalgic?
