Frank Ocean Cancels Second 2017 Festival Date

Even having released two albums last August, Frank Ocean announcing 2017 festival dates seemed pretty miraculous. Frank Ocean does not play live, really, and his meticulously auteurist approach to his art would make even a solo tour painstakingly detailed to execute. But a bunch of festival sets were fine?

Well, less than a week after canceling his headlining slot at Washington's Sasquatch! "due to production delays beyond his control," Frank has exited Hangout Music Festival, with the event providing the same explanation verbatim. Set in Gulf Shores, Ala. and kicking off in eight days, Hangout will sub in Phoenix for Frocean. "He passes on his apologies & hopes to return to AL soon," the fest tweeted.
