Art Institutes students Flavia Nunez and Charles Anthony already showed us how hard they were working at their original collection for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week–so we caught up with them again to see the unveiling of their designs in person!

"The symbol of the Trinity is a triangle, so we tried to incorporate that into each of the garments," Flavia told us while doing last-minute preparations for the presentation. She and Charles took inspiration from the song "This I Believe" by the Hillsong Church in New York City.

"We added a little more sophistication since we first started with the collection initially," Charles continued. "We learned different techniques, eliminating seams, adding style lines, all kinds of great things." Flavia added that all their preparation and new techniques came about through the help of their professors at the Art Institute.

Charles and Flavia's show went off without a hitch, and the two students were ecstatic afterward.

"It's like electricity running through my body," Charles said. "This is the biggest platform any designer could ever be on, I think, especially students emerging into the professional world, and I wanna thank the Art Institutes for this great opportunity."
