Hole was an American alternative rock band that originally formed in Los Angeles in 1989. The band was fronted by singer-songwriter Courtney Love (vocals, rhythm guitar), who co-founded Hole with lead guitarist Eric Erlandson. The band had a revolving line-up of bass players and drummers, with their most prolific being drummer Patty Schemel from 1992 to 1998, and Kristen Pfaff, who was the band's bassist from 1993 until her death in 1994; she was replaced by Melissa Auf der Maur later that year....
