Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa are in the midst of the Under the Influence tour—no, we won't judge you for making a "joint tour" joke—a co-headlining set from two of the most popular MCs in the game. The tour is just the latest in a long history of dual headliners, from Dylan and the Dead to Red Hot Chili Peppers and Stone Temple Pilots to the upcoming Liberation tour with Mary J. Blige and D'Angelo. Fuse looks back on some of our favorites.

Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks
The former Fleetwood Mac singer first linked up with Petty in 1981 for "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around." In 2006, the pair went on the Highway Companion Tour, where the mayor of Petty's home city of Gainesville, Florida introduced "Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Day''

Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow
CrowRock (catchy, eh?) originally linked in 2002, when Crow performed on Kid Rock's "Picture" off the rapper/singer's 'Cocky' album. The duo toured together in 2011
Kevin Mazur
D'Angelo and Mary J. Blige
Beginning August 18, reclusive R&B singer D'Angelo and Burger King-shilling soul queen Mary J. Blige start their Liberation tour. The run will (hopefully) be a return to the throne for both singers

Jay-Z and R. Kelly
The 2004 Best of Both Worlds tour to promote the duo's 'Unfinished Business' album ended in disaster, with R. Kelly claiming that two people were waving guns at him and Jay responding "I don't need that n---a!" The tour ended with each artist suing the other and proving that rap and R&B don't always peacefully coexist
KMazur
Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck
Dubbed by one New York newspaper as "two of the holy trinity of living axe-men" (with Jimmy Page), this is what happens when two men with more than 80 collective years of playing guitar enter the same room — epic
Roger Kisby
Red Hot Chili Peppers and Stone Temple Pilots
In 2000, with Stone Temple Pilots coming off 'No. 4' and the Chilis just starting their "adult, poppier phase" with 'Californication,' the two bands hit the road. While RHCP remained a constant presence in rock since then, Weiland and co. would break up in 2002 until their eponymous reunion album in 2010

Jon Super
Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie
This autumn's family-friendly show will feature skee-ball, Whack-a-Mole, balloon animals and an actual three-ring circus and petting zoo. Expect Wiggles covers and Manson to shower the crowd with candy. Bring the kids! (Seriously, don't bring your kids.)

This imaginative pairing went down in 1987, with the seven-song album 'Dylan & the Dead' being released two years later

Seen here in 2010, the piano men from opposite sides of the pond have brought out their Face 2 Face Tour a handful of times. Joel's site calls it "the most successful and longest-running concert pairing in pop history"
John Medina
Blondie and Devo
Something smells like the '80s. (It's this tour ... happening in 2012)

Journey and Def Leppard
After seeing this tour, we didn't stop believing we could pour some sugar on the rock of ages from a wheel in the sky

Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy
Of all the youthful hip-hop monikers, these two were certainly the most noteworthy pairing available in 2009
Ben Rose

Six-string virtuosos of very different stripes, the two are about to wrap a brief 2012 summer jaunt

Kiss and Motley Crue
This year's apparently an excellent one to co-headline with a peer, so these two ensembles of debauchery are, naturally, hitting the road together
Chelsea Lauren
David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails
Less than a decade into their career, NiN scored big by co-headlining with Bowie. Early audiences were almost entirely Reznor folks, as Bowie himself said crowds were "almost 100% Nails audience"
