The Worm lives deep underground, digging up the best of what you haven't heard so you can complete your music education. We're also throwing in some stuff you have heard because it rules so hard. And because we can. Boo ya.
Lowiza
"When I first listened to 'Lowiza' I instantly saw a bar full of old drunken men, representing all of the useless surplus voices in a man's head. In this case, goading the protagonist for his lack of carnal desires. I wanted to show a weak man and a strong woman. Usually music videos show a fragile beautiful woman fawning over a strong man but the story of 'Lowiza' allowed me to subvert the norm and show a beautiful naked woman who doesn't need a man.
"We shot the video on RedCam in my loft which is always more intimate than a random studio. I'd seen the Lovely Feathers play at Lee's Palace [Toronto] the previous night and their performance was an artform in itself! Their dramatic, emotional, almost theatrical presence on stage was exactly what the bar scene in the video needed so it was a direct translation from there to camera. The finished product brings this complex and talented band the visual presence they deserve and will hopefully draw more people into their unique, cerebral sound." - Alan Compton (Director)
