"The video for 'From the Hips' started with the notion that we bring the baggage of all our old relationships with us whenever we date. From there it turned into more of a farce: dating all our old boyfriends/girlfriends simultaneously. It occurred to me that - especially in smaller communities - old boyfriends and girlfriends sometimes date within the same social circles anyway, so why not have all the baggage of our old relationships meet up at once and have a big orgy?

"The video was shot in Los Angeles by director Michael Grodner, who pulled actors from various comedy troupes in the area, including Upright Citizen's Brigade, The Groundlings, and most notably, Honor Student, from which the main actor, David Neher, hails." - Tim Kasher (Cursive)
