The Worm lives deep underground, digging up the best of what you haven't heard so you can complete your music education. We're also throwing in some stuff you have heard because it rules so hard. And because we can. Boo ya.
Substitution
"There are a couple of things that we always want as far as videos go. Something simple, very visual, and a tad surreal. When we read the Malloys' treatment for 'Substitution,' we were really intrigued because it contained all of those things, but added a hint of being playful, which we hadn't experienced since our first video for a song called 'Kissing Families.' And we are very proud of it.
"The whole thing was completely bizarre. What you see is what happened. The ladies were all playing musical chairs... for real... it was really shot in a Moose Lodge, and we were really there stopping and starting the song for them. The Malloys are amazing. In fact, Emmett Malloy plays the judge in the video. The thing that gets us going about it is that as visual as it is, the whole thing is muted. There's something about it that's just wrong. We love the fact that people can watch it and think it's fun or colorful, but when we watch it, it's the darkest video we've ever done. There's something that's just completely off. If you can catch the wink, then kudos... if not, well it's there... and we love it." - Brian Aubert (Silversun Pickups)
