So, Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta (John/John, if you will) thought it would be a good idea to record a Christmas album. (Because you have to give the public what they want...?) The pair have reunited nearly 35 years after working together on Grease, and their first video, "I Think You Might Like It," dropped today. Immediately three letters come to mind: W. T. F.
This is nothing like Grease standard "You're The One That I Want," and if I had spent money on this, I'd want it back. (Still love you in Look Who's Talking, John. No hard feelings.)
Below are our thoughts on "I Think You Might Like It," broken down by time code. Spoiler alert: I don't think you might like it.
0:03 - Interesting font selection.
0:24 - I know he's a pilot, but I don't think John Travolta is really landing that plane.
0:40 - Is this a country song? Do I know the words already? Is this an Ark Factory production?
1:00 - Whoa! I had no idea how sprite John Travolta can be when hopping down a staircase!
1:15 - Are Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta running toward each other? Are they running into each other's arms in slow motion? Nooooo. Oh. Yep, okay. That happened.
1:33 - OMG, it's Betty from The Flintstones movie! Oh, no, that's the woman from Jack Frost. My bad.
2:00 - Wait, are these people opening presents at a car dealership?
2:26 - How do neither John Travolta nor Olivia Newton-John have a flat screen TV to watch It's A Wonderful Life on? They wore all that spandex for nothing.
3:12 - Uhhh... What did I just watch?
