Priest + Drugs + Prostitutes = New Wavves Video

The gritty SoCal rockers are back with "Sail to the Sun," off their next LP, and an X-rated music video

SoCal stoner-scuzz rockers Wavves—fronted by Nathan Williams, whose girlfriend leads sunny pop-rockers Best Coast—are back and preparing to release their still untitled next album sometime next year. Today we get the first taste with "Sail to the Sun," which arrives with a new music video about a priest and his secret life of drugs and prostitutes. Scandalous! Watch and listen above.

The song is a typical Wavves jam--lo-fi fuzz guitars and surf riffs, lyrics about getting high and dying over pop smarts and big sing-along choruses. The new album was produced by John Hill (M.I.A., Santigold, Rihanna) and recorded at Sonora Studios in L.A. We can't wait to hear the rest!
