Jessie Ware Maps Her Rise From Aspiring Journo to Budding Pop Star

British singer Jessie Ware, who broke out big last summer with her hit "Wildest Moments," nabbing a Mercury Prize nom and a fan in Katy Perry, has a very unique career arc. 

She started as a backup singer, taking a day off from her day job as a journalist to sing with her pal, singer-songwriter Jack Penate. The rest, as they say, is history: She collaborated with SBTRKT on "Nervous," recorded "Wildest Moments" and released her debut album, Devotion, which broke the top 10 on the UK charts.
