Deadmau5 Busts Soundgarden in Dave Grohl-Directed "By Crooked Steps"

The Seattle alt-rock vets show their funny side in this 'King Animal' clip

Because he was bored jamming with Paul McCartney, covering ABBA with Ghost, premiering his new Sound City documentary and rocking out with Stevie Nicks and John Fogerty at Sundance and drumming his ass off for Queens of the Stone Age's next album, Dave Grohl directed the "By Crooked Steps" video for his pals in Soundgarden. Check it out above--it's hilarious!

Remember, Grohl is no film newcomer. In addition to his doc, he's been the grinning genius behind all of the Foo Fighters' videos; there's a lot of 'em and many are hilarious. With "By Crooked Step" Grohl brings out the alt-rock band's funny side. It's EDM vs. Alt-Rock, starring the Seattle boys as a Segway gang, who roll into a venue and shut down a laptop DJ and rock out, hard

Later, as they're charging down the street on their Segways, the "Crooked" gang are pulled over and arrested by a cop, played by one of EDM's biggest DJs: deadmau5.
