A Look Inside Indie Label Glassnote Records

What does it take to cultivate fresh new acts and launch them into the award-winning, chart-topping stratosphere? Glassnote Records, home to bands like Mumford & SonsPhoenix and Childish Gambino, seems to have the answer.

Fuse goes inside the offices of the growing company (founded in 2007), voted best indie label by Rolling Stone.

"They're very homegrown," says Childish Gambino, who was signed to the label in 2011.

"I saw a void for an intimate company that could attract really unique artists," Glassnote Founder and CEO Daniel Glass says.

"The truth is people didn't like Mumford & Sons when they first heard [them]." Glass goes on to say. What? Blasphemy! "But I knew we had something special," Glass says.

So if you've got that demo burning in your pocket, we’d say mail it to Glassnote ASAP!
