Understatement: Being a woman in the world of hip hop isn't always easy. Just watch Fuse's upcoming scripted series The Hustle, which features a female A&R exec trying to break an up-and-coming rap duo. 

But what's the struggle like in real life? Recently Fuse has sat down with hip hop and R&B artists like Nicki Minaj, Keri Hilson, Kitty, Starshell and Karmin. In the video above, you'll see they've all got their own stories to tell.
