Miguel Talks DUI Arrest, Challenging R&B & Being Biracial in Pop Music
Just days before he was formally charged with two counts of driving under the influence, Miguel sat down with Fuse News at Jay Z's Made In America fest and opened up about his mid-August arrest.
"I'm a human being just like the next person," Miguel tells Fuse News' Matte Babel. "There's no real word that I'm guilty of that, and that's all I have to say about it. The rest will be handled legally." [Note: Miguel wasn't officially charged at the time of this interview, but he has been since this weekend.]
When we asked the R&B mastermind if he resents the intense scrutiny he's subjected to as a star, his answer was refreshingly honest: "As far as the public part of it, it comes with the territory. We all exchange something for what we receive. There's always a trade off and that's just kind of the other edge of the sword."
