Vegas Maid Goes AWOL in The Killers & M83's "Shot at the Night" Video
Las Vegas: It's not just for degenerates anymore! At least that's what the Killers' new video for "Shot at the Night"—their lovely '80s-leaning ballad produced by Anthony Gonzalez of M83—would have us believe.
In the Vegas band's version of Vegas, it's a place where a stunningly gorgeous, melancholy hotel maid (played by Bella Heathcote from last year's Steven Van Zandt-produced Not Fade Away) can get plucked from obscurity by a handsome stranger (played by The Social Network star Max Minghella), given a high-end makeover and taken out on the town for the night of her life. Yep, that's Vegas for you!
To be fair, this video's plot isn’t entirely unrealistic. Except in the actual Las Vegas, visiting sleazy businessmen usually grab call girls instead of the hotel maid. Or maybe we're wrong and this video is totally adorable. Watch it above and decide for yourself.
