To Be One, 'America's Best Dance Crew' Finalists, Aim for Music Stardom

Fans of America's Best Dance Crew may recognize the members of To Be One: the teens competed on Season 6 and, despite dancing as the show's youngest contestants ever, were named runner-up in 2011. Two years later, New Jersey natives Madison Alamia, Louis DiPippa, Jason Smith and Mikey Fusco formed boy band To Be One. The quartet talked to Fuse about shifting their sights to the music industry.

"We realized we wanted to stick together," Fusco tells Fuse of life after the group's TV debut. "We reached out to one of our biggest supporters from the show, [ABDC co-host] Layla Kayleigh and we told her that we wanted to continue dancing and make our own music."

Kayleigh and Lady Gaga's manager Troy Carter now oversee the boys, who showcase their vocal skills with an as-yet-untitled upcoming EP.

"We play instruments, we sing, some of us DJ. Anything that has to do with music, we do," Fusco adds. "Growing up being dancers, you live through music. Singing was something we always wanted to do. We're on the grind right now."

The EP is led by "Wherever You Wanna Go," their debut dance-pop single that wouldn't sound out of a place on a Justin Bieber record. Watch the full interview above for deets about the track's music video, then watch the boys showcase both their vocal and choreography skills in the full vid below.
