Silversun Pickups to Begin Prepping for 4th LP Post-ACL Music Festival

Los Angeles alt-rock quartet Silversun Pickups have spent over a year promoting 2012's Neck of the Woods, the band's third full-length that snagged their first No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Albums chart. But after playing both weekends of Austin City Limits Music Festival, the SoCal outfit tells Fuse they'll look for new inspiration.

"You feel it's time to move on and put something new into the band," lead vocalist Brian Aubert tells Fuse backstage at the Austin festival, adding that a little R&R is in order.

"We'll take some time off just to make sure you get the cobwebs of the last record off," the singer/guitarist adds. "I know for me, if we start writing too soon after the previous album, it's probably going to have a little bit of that [album]. You want to be as far away and fresh as possible."
