A Great Big World on Nabbing Christina Aguilera for "Say Something"

Thanks to a performance on The Voice with "Say Something" duet partner Christina Aguilera, New York's recently-formed indie pop duo A Great Big World just scored their first Top 10 hit.

So when Fuse sat down with Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino, the rising stars explained the whirlwind events that lead up to their Xtina collabo.

"We started the band just over a year ago using Kickstarter," Axel tells Fuse. "And suddenly we get the call she wants to do a duet. We're like, 'Yes, let's do it,' and a week later we're recording it in L.A."

While on tour, A Great Big World got another call saying Aguilera wanted them to join her on The Voice in less than a week to perform "Say Something." Making the tough choice to cancel a few shows, the duo headed West and joined her on the singing competition show. "That was my third time singing the song with her," Axel admits.

As for the day they spent shooting the "Say Something" music video with Aguilera, Axel says he "didn't want that day to end."
