Lil Wayne, 50 Cent Protege Kidd Kidd Talks 'Street Fame' Mixtape

"Everything that I know. Everything that I've seen. Everything that I've experienced: That's what I rap about," New Orleans rapper Kidd Kidd tells Fuse. "That's where my music come from. That's the only way I know how to rap."

In the latest installation of The Mixdown, Fuse caught up with the emcee to discuss his latest mixtape, Street Fame.

"It's more than just the title of the mixtape," he says. "It's a lifestyle. You might know some cats in the hood that aren't as famous as me as far as rapping, but they're famous in their neighborhoods."

Discovered by Lil Wayne and now signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, Kidd Kidd previews Street Fame tracks “Cold Blooded,” “Big Banger Benz” (featuring 50 Cent) and the poignant “I’m a G (Bury Me a G).”

“I've seen death, so I'm prepared for it," he admits. "A lot of other artists too. If I had to go, that's how I want to go. Bury me a G.”
