Fan Sings Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" to Distract Free Throw Attempt
College basketball fans are an ardent bunch, usually prone to chanting "Airball" en masse when an opposing player lines up for a free throw. One fan, tradition and backing instrumentation be damned, earned "Instant legend" status during a Belmont-UNC game over the weekend.
As UNC's James McAdoo stepped up to the line, the Greatest Fan Ever delivered an emotional a capella rendition of Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball." McAdoo bricked the shot and, in what can in no way be coincidence, Belmont went on to win the game 83-80.
Well done, random fan. Well done.
Cyrus recently appeared on Saturday Night Live to announce her upcoming Bangerz tour kicking off February 14 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She's kept busy, appearing in Future's "Real and True" video, smoking weed at the MTV European Music Awards and covering Lana Del Rey better than the original singer.
