No, Pharrell Has Not Given Up Rapping

"There was a misunderstanding. There's just things that I just can't talk about at the moment that won't have any rap in it. But I will be rapping."

When Pharrell spoke to Complex earlier this month, he told the site that his next solo record would be "rap-free." "That's the difference between 30 and 40. 'Cause I was 30, now I'm 40 – and I'm not rapping," the producer said, contrasting his next album with 2006's In My Mind.

Not so fast. When Fuse News caught up with Pharrell, the recent Grammy nominee clarified his comments. "I'm still going to rap," says Pharrell. "There was a misunderstanding. But for what I was referring to at the moment, that's not what I'm going to do. But I'm going to rap, though. There's just things that I just can't talk about at the moment that won't have any rap in it. But I will be rapping."
