A Member of 'N Sync Is Now Hawking Hair Transplants
Singer, dancer, actor and television personality Joey Fatone now has a new bullet point to add to his resume: Hair Transplant Spokesperson.
In a recently released infomercial for hair transplantation surgery and hair loss treatment company Bosley, a very animated Fatone got candid about a dirty little secret.
"Hi, I'm Joey Fatone and as a member of the musical group, 'N Sync, there was a side of me people weren't aware of. You wanna know why people don't know me like this? One word: Bosley."
We're guessing the side of him no one was aware of was the "I got hair transplantation surgery" side. He never actually utters those words, so really, it could be anything, like alien abduction and/or probing, but we digress…
The point is (whatever the real truth may be), this is an infomercial and thus the viewer is led to believe the "Bye Bye Bye" singer got some (hair) work done.
Joey revealed the full tale in an official press release for the company. "Performing in front of a live audience can be pretty intimidating," he said. "So having a full head of hair was important to me. Back then, I was the only one in the group getting thinner on top. I became self-conscious and started wearing hats more often. That's life, but the beautiful thing is that now you can do something about it."
How and why the cruel world relegated the former heartthrob who once secret-dated Pink to hair loss infomercial guy status is up to a higher power to answer.
At least he can re-watch those two minutes of 'N Sync VMA reunion glory over and over and over again to help ease the pain.
Just remember to fast-forward past the Kevin Hart fart jokes, Joey!
Also, we're just gunna get this out of the way now:
LEAVE JOEY ALONE.
