Owen Wilson Turns Into Mopey Cartoon in The Killers' New Xmas Video
For their eighth annual charity Christmas single, the Killers tapped Owen Wilson, his cartoon avatar, folk-rockers Dawes and Hollywood legend Harry Dean Stanton for the reflective "Christmas in L.A."
This song from the Las Vegas rockers tells the tale of a mopey struggling writer (played by Owen Wilson) missing the holidays with his family to keep chipping away at the dream in Los Angeles. He eventually turns into a mopey cartoon who navigates the bleak landscape, meeting Harry Dean Stanton and pondering his life along the way.
The half-toon, half-live-action video is pretty awesome and all proceeds from the charity single go toward (RED), which fights the global AIDS epidemic. Watch it above and buy the single on iTunes here.
