Is Shakira's Blake Shelton Duet Better Than Christina Aguilera's?
Last night at the 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards, Shakira made her first foray into the Nashville scene by performing her new duet "Medicine" with Blake Shelton. While we're hesitant to call the collaboration straight-up country, "Medicine" incorporates the genre's signature steel guitars and fiddles while The Voice judges sing about choosing a lover instead of a bottle of whiskey or popping pills. While longtime country fans may have been shocked to see the "Empire" songstress onstage at Nashville's biggest award show, it's hardly the first time Shelton has dabbled in the pop world.
