The rapper talks about working with Dr. Dre and why Summer Jam took him back

50 Cent's new album Animal Ambition arrives on June 3 and we're wondering, will the 50 Cent of old come out?

Fuse's Esteban Serrano recently sat down with the rapper, who promised that his new track "Smoke" (featuring Trey Songz) is the "In Da Club" for this generation. "The first time I worked on that song, it was for [Dr.] Dre," he says. "To him, it was old beats. I don't care when the producer made the beats. Some of the beats [on Animal Ambition] are two or three years old."

Though the 50 renaissance is in full swing, he thinks that the annual New York City hip-hop fest Summer Jam took a chance on booking him as a headliner. "They let me back," he bluntly says. "A lot of the New York City radio stations, they have a separate studio for me to go to. I've had some memorable moments and a colorful background."
