New Shins Song Pops Up in Zach Braff's 'Wish I Was Here' Trailer
The Shins and Zach Braff are back together.
James Mercer's beloved indie band recorded a new song for Braff's second feature film Wish I Was Here (out July 18) and you can now get a glimpse of the somber-sounding tune above. The band was heavily featured in Braff's 2004 debut Garden State, which featured the now often-mocked scene where Natalie Portman's character explains to Braff that "they'll change your life."
This new trailer pays tribute to that sentiment, actually; this time, a pamphlet promises to be life-changing.
The film debuted earlier this year at Sundance to phenomenal buzz. Entertainment Weekly reported the soundtrack features Simon & Garfunkel, Coldplay, Bon Iver and Cat Power singing a song written by Chris Martin.
