Sir Mix-a-Lot Brings "Baby Got Back" to Seattle Symphony
"Since tonight is 'orchestral tunes from the hood night'," Sir Mix-a-Lot told a Seattle audience over the weekend, "We're going to try a little something you've probably never heard before."
With that, the one-hit-wonder invited a handful of audience members to dance alongside him as he performed his rap classic "Baby Got Back" backed by the Seattle Symphony. And it's more ridiculous than it sounds.
You may ask yourself why Sir Mix-a-Lot was getting the high brow treatment in the first place. The rapper was selected to partake in the Symphony's "Sonic Evolution" series, which pairs new work inspired by influential Seattle musicians.
You may also think that no person would get up on stage at a symphonic concert and shake everything they got while they shout "my anaconda don't want none unless you got buns hun." But you'd be wrong. Very, very wrong. Check out the video above.
