June is a good month for one of Boston's most exciting punk bands, Vanna. The quintet are quickly transforming into veterans of the Warped Tour scene, as they're set to release their fifth studio full-length, VOID, tomorrow via Pure Noise Records. You can get the first look at their new music video for single "Digging" exclusively on Fuse.tv – stream it above!
You'll notice that it focuses on the emotion of the song, especially the desperate facial expressions from lead vocalist Davey Muise. His rough vocals deliver a story of a man who's hit a low point, as he states "You see, even rocks don't have bottoms like this."
About the video and song, Muise told Fuse: "I know that kids feel alone out there, they feel like they are the only ones going through whatever awful sh–t pile that got dumped into their life. I know this because I was one of those kids. I felt so dead and empty inside and assumed no one could ever understand that. "Digging" is about how you're not alone, that along with the five of us, there's a whole world that feels that pain. You might not know why you're here on this earth, and not knowing your purpose brings you doubt of living. But you have a purpose, you might not know what it is yet, but if you let go, you'll never know. I'm living proof that finding a passion, along with digging yourself out of your own grave makes life so worth living and sharing."
Vanna are currently on the Vans Warped Tour with dozens of other bands and will be performing on the Monster Energy stage all summer long. Don't forget to tune into our continuing coverage of Warped Tour 2014 throughout the next few months!
