Big Freedia's "Excuse" Gets the New Orleans Jazz Treatment

In Episode 7 of Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce, the New Orleans star truly felt the love from her city, who honored her with the Entertainer of the Year award at this year's Big Easy Music Awards. While viewers at home were able to hear Freedia's heartfelt acceptance speech, they missed out on her epic show-closing performance of "Excuse" with local jazz band Brass-A-Holics.

In Fuse's exclusive outtake, Freedia links up with the well-known brass ensemble for a quick rehearsal session—and took her bounce hit to a completely new level. Combining the song's original energetic beat with the traditional funk-jazz vibe of Bourbon Street, Freedia and Brass-A-Holics may have invented a new bounce-brass genre. Trust us when we say that New Orleans hip hop fused with the sounds of trombone, trumpet, sax and drums is a must-listen!
