Watch Electro-Pop Duo Priory Perform "Weekend" on 'Trending 10'

The Portland-based act stopped by 'Trending 10' today to perform their latest single and discuss their brand-new EP

This week, rising Portland electro-pop duo Priory released their Weekend EP, a four-song smattering of chill poppy melodies and sticky hooks. The act stopped by Trending 10 to perform the title track from that release–check out the performance above!

"Weekend" is an appropriate tune to get acquainted with heading into a Friday. The band sings in the chorus, "Hell yeah I just got paid / It's time to get this started / Wait till I stake my claim / Forget that I was ever your whipping boy."

The fun didn't stop there, though. Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears also answered some questions from host Bridget Kelly, discussing the the intensity of their live shows (one of them broke a rib jumping into the crowd!) and why their lyrics sometimes focus on social issues like bullying.

"I was a band nerd. So through junior high and high school, I got a lot of that," Rush explains. "But I mean, there's kind of an overriding theme throughout our new EP: Life's a party, and everyone's invited. It's all-inclusive."
