Taylor Swift Shares Another '1989' Track, The Fun & Flirty "Style"
Only one more week, Swifties! 1989 arrives October 27 and Taylor would never keep you waiting... but she'll have you wanting more! You've danced past negativity with "Shake It Off" (maybe in a supermarket?). You've contemplated a relationship gone awry with "Out of the Woods," and most recently you've embraced your inner city lady with "Welcome to New York." Today Swift has teased the upbeat "Style," and coming to us from a Target commercial.
She opens the clip by discussing her admiration for NYC. "I've been so inspired by being in New York, because everything from what people are wearing on the street to the way they're interacting with each other...to driving through the West Village at night, and you see a couple kissing on the street, or you seeing someone fighting outside their apartment. You see so much humanity on a daily basis that even if you're not inspired by your own life that day, you can be inspired by someone else's life."
"Style" isn't too unlike "Welcome to New York." It's an eighties synth-pop driven tune, Swift singing the relatable lines, "You got that long hair, slicked back, white t-shirt / And I got that good girl faith and a tight little skirt / And when we go crashing down, we come back every time / Because we never go out of style / We never go out of style." Sounds like love, right? Sounds like Harry Style-s love, right? Listen to the snippet above and decide for yourself!
