IAMSU! Talks Extension of Debut Album, 'Sincerely Yours 1.5'

Sudan Williams, a West Coast rapper who goes by IAMSU!, stopped by Trending 10 today to enlighten us about the release of his upcoming album and how much he's learned recently as a relatively new rapper to the game–watch the full interview above!

IAMSU! is a leader amongst the renaissance of West Coast hip-hop, and his new album Sincerely Yours 1.5 serves as an extension of his debut record Sincerely Yours. It features three new tracks, but the rapper says he's sitting on "maybe 200 songs" apart from this new material.

"It was just strong music. I just said, 'I can't sit on this no longer,'" Williams says about why he chose these three songs to appear on Sincerely Yours 1.5. "I'm working on my new album, but I'm like, 'Dang, I don't know what to do with these songs.' So I'm putting them out right now."

As it turns out, IAMSU! is pretty friendly with Wiz Khalifa and Bay Area legend E40. Out of everything that pair of veteran emcees has taught him, though, he says the most valuable advice has been pretty straightforward: Make sure you pay your taxes.
