Gerard Way Premieres New Song, "Cheap Lights" Live

The My Chemical Romance frontman performs yet another previously unheard song

Last week My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way shared two previously unreleased tracks, "Don't Try" and "Kid Nothing," on some European tour dates. Those who weren't in attendance learned about the song via Gerard's Twitter, where the singer detailed the songs' origins. This weekend, a few clips of a new new song, "Cheap Lights," surfaced. Way performed the tune at Birmingham, England's O2 Academy.

Like "Don't Try," "Kid Nothing," and the rest of Way's fantastic debut solo album, Hesitant Alien, "Cheap Lights," has a certain '90s Britpop feel, like it could sit comfortably next to an Oasis ballad.

Check out "Cheap Lights" above, peep our exclusive interview with the My Chemical Romance veteran and discover which era of Way's career fits you right here.
