Watch Taylor Swift Completely Gush Over Her First BRIT Award

The 2015 BRIT Awards truly belonged to Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran (you could throw Kanye West in there, too), but if we know anything about pop music in this decade, it's that Taylor Swift will be there, holding it down for fierce ladies everywhere.

The 1989 singer took home the award for International Female solo artist, her first BRIT ever. Fuse met her backstage at the event to get the low down.

"I'm way too excited about it. I need to calm down," she gushed. "I'm so happy. It's been the most amazing slow build with my love affair with England and the U.K. [I] started out playing King's College and ending up eight years later getting ready to play sold-out Hyde Park...This first BRIT Award couldn't have come at a better time."
