Watch 5 Seconds of Summer's Extended Japanese Tour Diary

The boys from Down Under played a few shows on the island nation; here are their stories

Update (5/1): As 5 Seconds of Summer's first headlining arena world tour approaches, the guys have been dropping surprises here and there. At the beginning of April, they shared a tour diary shot while in Japan at the beginning of the year. Today they've released a second part to the story, one with a bit more detail.

It begins with the guys dancing around backstage, speaking in fake English accents. Bassist Calum Hood pretends to be a reporter to which guitarist Michael Clifford responds with "I'm not dating Taylor Swift." He seems to be the one having the most fun, telling the camera that he feels at home in Tokyo; he feels less weird. They play air hockey with their security guards in one scene, they fail to play a practical joke on drummer Ashton Irwin in another. Watch the debauchery above!

Original Story (4/2): As 5 Seconds of Summer gear up for their next world tour with newbies Hey Violet (formerly Cherri Bomb), the guys are keeping us entertained: There was their killer closing performance at the Kids' Choice Awards—slime included—and their brief but sweet cameo at the iHeartRadio Awards. Now they've taken it to the next level, sharing a short and silly video tour diary filmed during their time in Japan.

It begins with shots of the Aussie heartthrobs arriving at the airport rocking red and black kimonos. Thousands of girls line the gate as bassist Calum Hood's voice takes over, explaining the band's excitement to play somewhere so foreign.

The clip includes live shots and tons of backstage antics. Fans of Calum and guitarist Michael Clifford will be especially pleased.
