Mark Ronson & Mystikal’s “Feel Right” Video: Too Badass to Be Adorable

Here to make your day is a talent show performance that goes out “to all the player-hatin’ teachers that won’t let a little gangsta shine"

True story: I found myself at an elementary school talent show last month. In the almost-four-hour odyssey, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” was covered, to varying degrees of amazingness, about seven times.

But now I see what could’ve been. “Feel Right” could’ve been. The video for Uptown Special’s Ronson/Mystikal collaboration is exactly that talent show vibe, with a swag-blasting li’l guy lip-syncing the "Shake Ya Ass" singer's James Brown–channeling vocals.

The performance is dedicated “to all the player-hatin’ teachers that won’t let a little gangsta shine.” The finest moment's probably our frontman/new savior swigging milk out of a champagne glass.

For a twist ending, we find the real-life Mystikal chilling at the judges’ table…alongside Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, who codirected the clip with Cameron Duddy. Each judge gives the kids a 10, because that is the correct score for this performance.
