Ouch: U2's the Edge Fell Off the Stage at Last Night's Tour Opener

The guitarist posted an update letting everyone know he's fine—but DANG that tumble looks tough

At the very first stop on U2's Innocence + Experience Tour on Thursday night, 53-year-old guitarist the Edge took a nasty dive off the...well, edge of the stage.

Making it a particular bummer was that it went down during a gigantic, arena-sized singalong to "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," the emotional 1987 single. When the Edge took his dip, the crowd was completely knocked out. See the clip up top, if you feel ready to see something pretty cringeworthy and painful-looking...

Fortunately the Edge is doing well, taking the courtesy to ease worried minds on Facebook:

Nasty scrape, but the dude's a rockstar. He's seen worse.
