Watch 5 Seconds of Summer & Good Charlotte Perform "Girls & Boys" Live

Get your pop-punk nostalgia served by the scene's most exciting young act jamming with the early 2000s legends

New school pop-punk met old school pop-punk at the latest stop of 5 Seconds of Summer's Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour. After performing an international bonus track off their debut album "Rejects," the just-turned-19 Luke Hemmings told the crowd that Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte were in the building. Guitarist Michael Clifford then told the crowd that he wanted to cover a Good Charlotte song and the band decided on 2003 hit "Girls & Boys."

The Madden bros came out (cue even more insane screams) to help on vocals and guitar to a huge response. There was a bit of nostalgia, but it was totally refreshing seeing the Maddens give their onstage co-sign to the young band.

The onstage performance is the latest collaboration between 5SOS and the Good Charlotte brothers, who co-wrote on the Aussie band's new single "She's Kinda Hot."

The creative friendship is clearly proving successful too: "She's Kinda Hot" hasn't left the iTunes Top 10 of since it dropped. In case you missed it, listen to the My Chemical Romance-inspired cut right here.
