"Born to Run": Bruce Springsteen Closes Jon Stewart's Last 'Daily Show'

We agree with the Boss: Thanks for everything, Jon

Jon Stewart ended his 16-year run as the host of Comedy Central's Daily Show on Thursday night; twas a bittersweet affair. For the final moment, the New Jersey native was played out by a fellow Jersey boy, Sir Bruce Springsteen.

By special Stewart request, the Boss launched the sendoff with "Land of Hopes and Dreams," the gigantic, second-to-last cut on 2012's Wrecking Ball. The rocking starts at the 1:20 mark in the clip above. "Born to Run" drops at 6:55; you shall feel the feels.

For Stewart's final episode, Daily Show-ers Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Samantha Bee, Aasif Mandvi, Lewis Black, Wyatt Cenac and Rob Corddry swung through. You can see a bunch of clips from the episode over at Vulture.

Farewell, Jon—thank you for all the LOLs, for all the much-needed skewering and for getting us through four crazy elections.
