Raury Draws from Those Who "Speak Toward Dreams"

Atlanta native Raury never thought he'd become an artist.

Fast forward a few years, and the hip hop-funk performer has been added to this year's XXL Freshman Class, and the release of his debut album All We Need is right around the corner. The 19-year-old sat down with Fuse to discuss his musical influences that range from Kanye West to Kid Cudi to Led Zeppelin.

Raury highlighted West's "I Wonder" for its importance in shaping his early beginnings, having rapped over the Graduation track's instrumentals countless times. In addition to Yeezy, individuals who "speak toward dreams," such as John Lennon and Gandhi, continue to shape Raury as an artist.
