Kendrick Lamar's "These Walls" Video Is an 8-Minute Odyssey: Watch

One of the best songs on one of the year's best albums gets the visual treatment, and it lives up to the source material

Apparently it wasn't enough for Kendrick Lamar to drop another towering hip hop classic with To Pimp a Butterfly—he's also been cranking out top-tier videos steadily ever since. "These Walls" is the fifth visual from the album, and it's an eight-minute trip.

The Butterfly standout blends deep meditations on both sex and prison, and the NSFW video follows suit, taking us from a jail cell to an anything-goes hotel to...a talent show where a not-joking-around Terry Crews dances alongside a smiling Kendrick?

"These Walls" is co-directed by Colin Tilley, who previously helmed Kendrick's "Alright" as well as Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda," Ciara's "Speechless," Future's "Honest" and many, many more. His partners behind the camera? "The Little Homies," credited on four of the five Butterfly videos. Who are they? Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment president Dave Free. Sneaky!

Sounds like the Little Homies will be back, too, as "These Walls" ends with a potential prison breakout and that old standby, "To Be Continued..."
