Khloe Kardashian Talks Lamar Odom on 'Ellen': 'It's a Long Road Ahead'

"He's learning how to walk again, how to feed himself again and put sentences together again," she told the TV host

Last month, former NBA star Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel, was rushed to a hospital and thankfully came out of a coma. In a recent interview with Extra, his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian explained that he is "off all machines" and making more of a recovery.

Now, Kardashian has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss the situation further. She told the host:

"Yes, he was in a coma. He went into a coma for three days. He's out of it. The power of prayer, everyone, we're so thankful. The prayers and everything have helped so much. He's off of all machines that help his organs but still, he has such a long way to go. He's learning how to walk again, how to feed himself again and put sentences together again. Cognitively it's a long, long road ahead."

She continued:

"He couldn't put a lot of words together today but he understands. We tell him he had a brain injury but we can't tell him how that injury was caused because it will set him back. He's never asked why he's here...So he's really confused a lot so we have to remind him. Sometimes he knows who the president or his birthday and other times he thinks he's 26 and [I'm like,] 'I bet you wish you were 26! So do I.'"
