Alesso Talks "Great Journey" to Debut Album: Watch

The Swede chilled with Fuse at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2015

Sweden's Alesso has been buzzing and building a fan base for a few years, but the 24-year-old reached what he calls "a milestone" earlier this year with his debut full-length, Forever. "I always wanted to do an album," the DJ-producer told Fuse at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2015. "And to collaborate with people like Tove Lo, Ryan Tedder and all these incredible, talented people was a great journey."

Alesso also spoke on the communal nature of his live performance, saying, "I'm doing the show for them, but it depends on how people responds, and that creates the energy."

His main goal, though, is...

"...to make people just be in the present. You're working every day, you're doing all your studying, whatever you're doing, you do so many things in life. When you're at these festivals or shows, it's kinda good to just disconnect from all that for a second."
