Ruth B Talks Debut Single 'Lost Boy,' Moving From Vine to Music: Video Interview

Ruth B initially became famous on Vine for her six-second song covers, but the 20-year-old is ready to make her own mark with her gorgeous debut single "Lost Boy." It's as striking for its stark, piano production as it is for its theme. The Canada native came to Fuse to talk about creating her Peter Pan–inspired track:

"When I wrote that song, I just let it all out. I didn't think, 'I'm writing a song,' I was just like, 'How do I feel? What do I want to see? Who would I want to hang out with in Neverland?'

Peter Pan was very interesting to me. I just really liked his character and how he would bring kids who were lost a family and friends. I was very drawn to that. It's just a beautiful idea, this place where kids go and never grow up and find family and people they never knew existed."
