Barenaked Ladies' 'Last Summer on Earth' Tour Was Inspired by the Mayans

The Barenaked Ladies stopped to hang out with Fuse at Beale Street Music Festival, where they revealed the inspiration behind their Last Summer on Earth tour:

"The first tour was a little tip of the hat to the Mayan calendar ending, and now we've just been continuing to do it every year just in case. We're just gonna keep going until the world ends and the Mayans were right! But I think the sentiment of the tour, though, is to party like it is the last summer on earth. Let's go ahead and have a great time."

The band also talked about how they managed to choose the tracklist out of a 300+ song discography for new live album, BNL Rocks Red Rocks (released on May 20), as well as plans for their upcoming 12th studio LP.
